Norwegian conceptual artist / photographer Rune Guneriussen uses man-made objects to build temporary installations in natural settings to create his ethereal photographic works. The artist believes that the human approach to nature is too invasive. Therefore, with his projects, he assembles site-specific installations, photographs them and takes them apart afterwards leaving no trace behind – as a suggestion for a more gentle approach to nature.
Rune Guneriussen was born in 1977, in Kongsberg, Norway. His work is included in the permanent collections of the Musées de Bayeux, Le Royal Monceau, and the Centre of Knowledge in Lillestrøm, Norway. He studied at Eiker College and received a Bachelor of Arts in Photography from the Surrey Institute of Art & Design. He lives and works in Vestfossen, Norway
